Welcome to Barnard Roots ... connecting Barnard researchers around the globe! This site has been created as a research site for those researching the Barnard surname. By maintianing this site, I hope to make resources available to all of those interested in researching the Barnard surname. I have received many files from many people and have amassed quite a few of my own. Armed with technology, it is my goal to make it all available to those researching the Barnard surname. I have also added some other features to help us communicate and to effectuate the exchange of information. All of the site resources can be reached through the navigation menu to the left. I have never charged a penny for access to this information and I never will. I do, however, now require you to register to access the Repository. I have been maintaining this site, in some form, since 1998. In that time I have encountered many obstacles, from being hacked by an Armenian group in 2002 to, most recently, having to deal with the rants of a woman who has asked me take off a 350-page Family Tree Maker file simply because her name is on it (I am not kidding folks ... I couldn’t make this stuff up). In an attempt to keep out the whackos, I have password protected the Repository.
